Each year from May to September, our Bush Kinder program takes place at the stunning Wurundjeri Wetlands, offering children a unique opportunity to learn and play entirely outdoors. We respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people as the Traditional Owners of this land and honor their deep connection to nature by sharing stories and traditions that foster respect and understanding in our children.

Bush Kinder offers countless benefits for children’s development. Through physical activities like climbing, running, and balancing, children build strength, coordination, and resilience. Without toys, children engage creatively with natural resources such as sticks, rocks, and leaves, sparking their imagination and problem-solving skills. Encounters with local wildlife deepen their connection to the environment, encouraging empathy and a sense of responsibility for the natural world.

 

This program not only enhances physical and cognitive skills but also nurtures independence, teamwork, and a love for learning, all while fostering a profound appreciation for nature.
